TDO (Two-Row Double-Outer Race)
Features and Benefits:
High load carrying capacity
Double row tapered roller bearings can withstand heavy radial and axial loads. The axial load capacity of tapered roller bearings increases with the contact angle α. The magnitude of the contact angle (usually 10° to 30°) is related to the calculation factor e (according to the product table): the larger the value of e, the larger the contact angle.
Axial load in both directions
Tapered roller bearings position the shaft in both directions with a specific axial clearance or preload.
High stiffness double row tapered roller bearings provide a rigid bearing arrangement.
The optimized roller design on the rib and the rib surface finish promote the formation of a lubricant film that reduces friction. This also reduces frictional heat and rib wear. In addition, the bearing maintains better preload and reduces noise levels during operation.
Extended service life
The convex raceway curve profile of the basic bearing and the logarithmic contact curve profile of the GSNK bearing optimize the load distribution on the contact surface and reduce the stress on the roller ends, compared with traditional direct raceway curve bearings. Sensitivity to misalignment and axis shift.
Improve operational reliability
The surface finish of the contact surfaces of the rollers and raceways facilitates the formation of a hydrodynamic lubricant film.
Consistency of roller profiles and dimensions
The rollers integrated in GSNK double row tapered roller bearings are manufactured to such close tolerances and dimensional accuracy that they are almost identical. This achieves optimum load distribution, reduces noise and vibration levels, and enables more precise preloading.
