Gsnk® Four Row

Four-row tapered roller bearings are successfully used in bearing arrangements for rolling mills around the world with low to moderate rolling speeds. Generally no additional thrust bearing is required in the bearing arrangement.

TQIT (Tapered Bore Four-Row Assembly)

Bearings depend on their design, two tapered bore single cones, one tapered bore double cone, four single cups and three cup spacers.

The four-cup design (four independent outer rings) provides optimal load distribution on all four rows of rollers.

The optimized surface treatment of the contact surfaces of the rollers and raceways facilitates the formation of a hydrodynamic lubricant film.

In particular, GSNK bearings are made of extremely clean and homogeneous steel that has undergone a unique heat treatment to improve wear resistance.

Improved sealing performance, less leakage and less frictional heat
The optimized seal design provides excellent protection against external contamination while keeping friction and frictional heat low. The seal design also provides better lubricant retention, minimizing environmental impact and reducing maintenance costs.

The load carrying capacity of sealed and open bearings is the same
An optimized, compact seal design enables the same internal design.

Bearings are fully interchangeable
Bearings with and without spacers, as well as open and sealed bearings, are available in the same external dimension designations. This allows full interchangeability of current standard design bearings with bearings without spacers and/or optimized seal designs.

Detachable installation and easier inspection
The optimized design without spacers allows the removal and separation of the roller and cage assemblies and seals. This facilitates installation, removal and maintenance inspection procedures.

Space-saving cost-effective solution for journals
The journals can be relatively short, no separate axial bearings are required, and bearing housings of the same design can be used on both sides of the roll.

Easier axial positioning on the journal
Tighter inner ring width tolerances facilitate tolerance and sizing of surrounding components.
